Registration for all band students will take place Saturday, June 7th from 8am - 6pm in the VHS Band Room.  Students will need to attend with their parents for about one hour - no appointment is necessary - just plan to be there sometime before 5pm.  **Please Note** Instrumental Music Registration DOES NOT include school registration.  All students must still register for school during the week of Band Camp.  BAND CAMP WILL END EARLY AT 5PM ON THE DAY OF SCHOOL REGISTRATION SO ALL BAND AND COLOR GUARD MEMBERS CAN REGISTER FOR SCHOOL. 

The purpose of registration day is to take care of all paperwork, uniform fitting, and fees before the school year begins.  Students will be measured for both a marching and concert uniform, will fill out contact information and other mandatory paperwork, will have the opportunity to sign-up for our first field trip of the year, and will be issued instruments and lockers.

Color Guard and Orchestra members need only attend registration day if they are interested in attending the Islands of Adventure Field Trip.

The following fees will need to be paid (parents - these fees will need to be broken up into three checks)

 

Check 1

$25 - Instrument Rental Fee (per semester) - only if renting an instrument from VHS over the summer.  Parents can also prepay for the fall semester and spring semester if they would like.

 

Check 2

$65 - Islands of Adventure Field Trip - OPTIONAL - Trip will take place Friday, August 15th.  Transportation provided via charter bus.  Students with season passes need only pay $25 for transportation.

 

Check 3

$55 - Uniform cleaning fee - Mandatory for band students.  Includes up to ten cleanings of marching band uniforms.

$25 - Shoes/Gloves fee - Mandatory for all new band members, or members wishing to purchase new marching shoes.

$3 - Gloves fee - optional for band members wishing to purchase extra gloves (you'll need them!)

$15 - Band / Orchestra T-shirt fee - Mandatory for band/color guard students who do not already own a band t-shirt.  Optional for orchestra students.

$20 - Concert Uniform Shirt Fee - Mandatory for all band and orchestra students who do not already own a black tuxedo shirt.

$25 - Band/Orchestra Booster Polo Shirts - Optional for parents wishing to purchase a booster shirt.

$25- Band/Orchestra Hoodies - Optional for students or parents

$5 - Water bottle - Mandatory for all band students who did not purchase (or who have lost) the mandatory water bottle - the water bottle is part of the uniform.

 

It is the policy of the VHS Instrumental Music Department to not exclude any student from any mandatory activity for monetary reasons.  If money is a problem, please speak to Mr. Bresette in private to arrange a payment plan.

 

In addition to fees and forms listed above, students and parents will fill out a car-pool information form, an off-campus band camp lunch waiver form, an out-of-county travel medical release form (notary is on-site - parents please bring ID), and a parent volunteer form.

 

Students who are out of town during this registration day should plan to attend the makeup registration day on August 2nd.
